Visit one of the biggest Buddha Birthday Festival celebrations in the world this weekend

Join over 200, 000 visitors at Queensland’s largest multicultural festival ‘Buddha Birthday Festival’ to be held at Southbank Parklands from Friday 29 April – Monday 1 May.

Running in its 20th year, this iconic event promotes harmony in diversity throughout the 180 events held. Highlights include:

Candle Light Offering
The nightly Light Offering Ceremony provides peace and harmony in our busy lives.

Celebration of Lanterns

The Parklands lights up from early April with thousands of red Chinese lanterns.

During the Festival there is the Lantern Wall, Arbour Lantern tunnel as well as the Wheel of Brisbane turning red.

Lion Dances
Traditional performances daily with a sensational 20 lion displays.
